I finally downloaded the video of me painting in my Sausalito Studio on YouTube. My friend Steve, a retired CBS cameraman, captured me from start to finish producing one of my Abstract Paintings. It was an incredible experience and I have gotten wonderful feedback from viewers, artists and friends. Utrecht Art Supply store was so impressed by the video that they put it on their corporate web site. The San Francisco store on Van Ness Avenue also put it on their store Blog.The painting actually took four hours to complete but Steve ingeniously edited the video footage to 7.5 minutes. In the video I am wearing my IPOD and listening to the music of the heavy metal band Rammstein. The music was dubbed over the video so you can hear the actual music I was listening to while painting. There is a point in the video where my brush is moving so fast that even I thought that Steve sped up the video.
The vigorous dance like feel to my movements reveals my love of performance and displays my physical approach to Abstract painting.
